Website and web page updates by design-star*

Web page / website updates services range from simple text editing to adding complex interactivity. There are several types of website updates, please see below for more information, as prices are variable so please use the free quote form to submit your information and to get a price. If you have a existing website that requires work you must have permission from the original web designer to enable me to make changes - unless you have created the website yourself.

Existing website updates

For a existing website update you will need to supply a description of the updates you require and include the page name if the update is page specific, for example,. 'products.htm'. You can find the page name by looking at the address bar on your browser, if you look now you will see that the page name for this page is web-design-website-updates.htm.

Website update overview

After you have submitted your website update requirements via the free quote form I will provide you with a quote via e-mail within 24 working hours. If you accept the quote you will then need to e-mail or post any content (text, photos etc) required for the update to design-star* (details will be given in the quote e-mail). If you need any content created or source for you this will also appear in the quote. Once you have agreed the price for the work and sent a deposit payment I will begin working on the updates within the agreed time frame.
You will be able to review the work from a link that is not live to the worldwide web, purely for you to review the work. You can request one set of changes included within the price quoted for. If you are happy with the work you can pay the remaining balance of the project, once this is received I will upload the changes to your website (99% of the time it will be the same day depending on how you pay).

Uploading the website updates

If you need me to upload the updates to your website I need to know the login information for your hosting - ask your hosting provider for the 'FTP' (File Transfer Protocol) details - please do not e-mail the password to me - I will ask for this via the telephone. Should you wish to upload the updated website files to your hosting yourself I can e-mail the files directly to you.

Existing design-star* website updates

If you have a existing design-star* project with hosting set up by me then I will not need the ftp details as I will have already have these. As mentioned above if you have a existing website you must have permission from the original web designer to enable me to make changes.
