Website navigation by design-star*Introduction to website navigationWebsite navigation is the key to getting people to find and see the information on your website. If your navigation is not organised or difficult to use your visitors will get the impression that you or your company are not organised and are difficult to use. You can add any of the additional navigation options to your web design / website project. If you have a existing website you will need permission from the original web designer of the website for me to edit your web pages. Text website navigation - standard linksEvery web design project website will include 2 sets of text links as standard
at the top, left side or right side. Please see the text navigation standard
links example below: Text website navigation - sub section linksYou can also have additional sets of links (called sub section links) where,
for example, you might need your users to navigate through a set of pages different
details about a product. Text website navigation - menu linksText links can be coded so that when you place your mouse over them another menu of links pop out or expand to show a sub section of links. Graphic NavigationGet your navigation noticed with graphical images. Graphic navigation is created to work with your web design but also to make the navigation more noticeable and pleasing to the eye. Navigation graphics can also indicate the page the user is currently viewing.
Interactive website navigation - Mouseover linksRollovers are created to produce a reaction when the user moves their mouse over the link / button. Interactive navigation - Rollover linksRollovers are created to produce a reaction in a different location on the page when the user moves their mouse overthe link / button. Interactive website navigation - Animated navigationAnimated website navigation links move and can provide a incredible range of visual and audio effects. The sky is the limit with animated website navigation but it really depends on how simple or complex you want your animation to be and your budget. Simple effects such as pulsing lights or rotating objects take less time and therefore cost less. If you are interested in more complex animations that involve a story or, for example people or animals in a flying, walking, swimming or running motion these take more time to create and therefore cost more. Please see below for a animation navigation - you can also visit the website animation section for more on website animation services.
Interactive navigation - Adding Audio (sound)Audio files can be set to play sounds such as music, bleeps, clicks and voiceovers when a link is clicked on or hovered over. The main cost involved is the fee for using the audio file plus the type and length of the audio file. To add the same sound click to one graphic link will cost a great deal less than adding a narration and music to animated links. |
